Jamie T's Glastonbury debut packs out John Peel StageJamie T made his Glastonbury debut tonight (June 24) on the John Peel Stage.
With the festival reaching its climax, the Thamesbeat troubadour and his band packed out the new music tent, despite heavy competition from some of the more established acts on the night.
With the likes of 'If You Got The Money' and 'Pacemaker' thrilling the audience, it was 'Shiela' that really had the stage rocking.
"I was well fired up for up the gig," Jamie T told NME.COM of his performance, adding that he'd managed to get into the festival mood despite only braving the mud today.
"I've only been here a little while, but I've just had a pint of flat beer," he explained. "but I watched the amazing Noisettes and then felt well in the mood for it." Tabloid Hell: Usher still engaged
Usher has commented on the much-publicised cancellation of his wedding last weekend.
The singer called off the wedding at the last minute, amid speculation that he could not go through with it without his mother present. Usher fired his mother as his manager Jonetta Patton earlier this year and the pair were reportedly at odds ever since.
Meanwhile, rumours that Usher had split with pregnant finacee Tameka Foster proved to be unfounded today when he made a statement to Usmagazine.com "As of right now we don't have a date but we will let you know when we do. Everybody's fine. Tameka and the baby are fine."
Foster reassured People.com on Monday that despite rumours of complications in her pregnancy (thought be another possible reason for the cancelled wedding), that she and baby are fine. "We had a scare. But, I am fine and the baby is fine."
